I hate cycles.
I hate that sin makes you feel trapped. I hate that trying to overcome the thing that rips me apart inside manifests deeper into my cravings when I so desperately want to be free.
Why can’t I just grasp it? Freedom. I know Jesus died to set me free and I know that he loves me, but damn. This old flesh of mine sure does know how to distort my vision, to wrench my hands away from the cross…
Secretes. They hoard so much shame, so much guilt, so much burden. They mask the truth so well it’s so blurry it appears almost gone when you want to seek it…
Hope. Where is my hope? Where is my strength to keep going? To keep fighting… To keep loving… To keep sane?
